Facilities for hire
Llanigon Village Hall a large Main Hall, a kitchen and a bar for hire. We also have chairs and tables and a mobile stage which can be hired and taken off site to your own venue.
All hirings include electricity and heating and VAT.
The facilities are booked by 'session'.
A session is 4 hours long in the daytime (Morning & Afternoon sessions) and 2 hours 15 mins hours in the evening.
The longer daytime sessions give the person hiring plenty of time to set up tables, prepare food etc and to clear away and clean up afterwards to allow the next user to start on time.
It is also long enough for providers to run 2 classes / groups back to back which will offer then increased earning potential. We hope that this system will increase the number of opportunities for having fun , getting fit and learning new skills in the area for all ages.
There are 4 sessions per day:
Morning 0900 - 1300
Afternoon 1300 - 1700
Evening (early 1700 - 1915
Evening (late) 1915 - 2130
The late session can be extended to midnight on weekends by request when the Private Party rate is selected. You can also book the whole site starting at 0900 and ending at 2200.

OUR PRICING PHILOSOPHY
Prices to hire the facilities are deliberately set to be very affordable to encourage those setting up new groups and classes to create more opportunities for people in this area.
Importantly, we want the groups and classes to be affordable for students, families, the unwaged, low incomes workers and pensioners.
Price Categories
When you book you need to choose the correct rate.
Standard
This is for use by local residents and people organising clubs, societies and activities.
If you want to book for a child's birthday party or to run an activity such as yoga class, a board game club, or circuits then this is for you. It's the cheapest to encourage people to use the Hall and to offer more for people in the area to get involved with.
Private party bookings at the weekend cost more than the club / group booking rate and must be chosen for all evening party / event bookings.
Corporate
Use this rate to book if you are a company looking for a venue for an away day, training day, product launch etc. You can fit 100 people in the Main Hall and hire the Kitchen for caterers to feed your employees and guests.
PCC Elections
This is rate paid by Powys County Council to book the whole site on election days for use as a polling station.

Llanigon Village Hall boasts an unusually spacious Main Hall that can comfortably accommodate up to 100 guests seated, or 130 standing. The Hall features a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for catering events of any scale.
It also has an upright piano that's in tune!
The chairs and tables come with the hire and are stored in a cupboard accessed off the Hall.
For indoor bowling, there are 3 full length bowling mats on trolleys which are brought out of the cupboard to deploy the three parallel 'bowling greens'.
The Hall has a folding stage and a few theatre lights mounting on the ceiling for performances.
The Kitchen is included with the Main Hall if you only intend serving light refreshments. (Please note you will need to bring tea, coffee etc for your users as no food stuffs are stored in the kitchen).
N.B. If you want to use the cookers to reheat or cook food there is an additional charge to cover the energy costs so you will need to add the Kitchen as a 'Facility' to your booking request.

For private Parties for over 16s the whole venue must be booked and a refundable damage deposit may be required. You will need to select the 'Evening Party' rate when booking.

The Bar can be booked as an 'Add-on' when you book the Main Hall. This Hall is run by volunteers but we also employ bar staff to enable people to add the Bar to their Main Hall booking.
To comply with the licence, a volunteer member of the Hall Committee must also be in attendance.
We will confirm that we can staff the bar before authorising your booking.
If you are cooking or reheating food for your event you must book the Kitchen under the 'Cooking Food Charge' to cover the costs of the energy used.

You can hire the Hall's 80 stacking chairs and 20 folding tables for £100 to use at your own event in another location. You will be responsible for their loading / unloading & transport as the person hiring them.

We have a folding stage on wheels ( 6 units) which can be hired for use at your own venue. The hire charge covers the period required (up to 2 weeks).
When you request to book it, the Bookings Clerk will check to see if any group based at the Hall has a planned use before approving your booking so you are not inconvenienced. Availability is subject to it not being in use at Llanigon Hall on the dates you are requesting.
The Hiree is responsible for its transport.
